We’d decided not to write anything special about this trip. But it was a dream!!! A dream that we did think will come true. Nobody thought that after the catastrophic eruption of 1975-76, Tolbachik Volcano would please us with such an event. And we didn’t think that we could see it with our own eyes. But we still kept dreaming. Dreamed and hoped for a miracle. And it happened!
On 27 November 2012 Plosky Tolbachik Volcano decided to make a special holiday and wake up the volcanologists from their sleep.
For a whole week we prepared equipment and our wives. By the way, I was newly married at the time. And in the middle of December we would celebrate the first month of our marriage. The first month of our joint lives. Having promised my beloved one to return by the date, I set out on my journey.
What was expecting us there? The temperature was -40оC (-40оF), the thawed river, in which the all-terrain vehicle got drowned, a lot of emotions. And of course, upon our arrival, friends on the couch with a lot of questions about our adventure!
