Evens live right in the middle part of Kamchatka, surrounded by rivers and glaciers of the Middle Ridge. They avoided the northern areas to settle on deserted but fertile soils.

Kamchatka’s Bystrinsky District attracts guests from around the world. They all come to see the ancient mountain ranges, to bathe in hot healing springs, and listen to the sound of Even tambourines.

Creativity of three ethnic ensembles - Oryakan, Nurgenek and Nulgur are true decorations of Evens’ Land. Their repertoires include not only Evens, but also Koryak, Chukcha, Itelmen pieces. Ensembles acquired fame not only in their own region, but also way beyond these places.
