Vachkazhets Mountain Range is located 80 kilometers (50 miles) from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. It’s truly a monument of nature. Many consider the range one of the most fascinating places of the pristine nature of Kamchatka. Multitude of lakes and waterfalls surround the slopes of its ridges. In ancient times Vachkazhets Mountain Range was a single volcano but the strongest eruption resulted in explosion and divided it into three parts.
