Koryaksky Volcano (3456 m / 11339 ft) is the highest volcano in the southern part of Kamchatka and one of the «domestic» volcanoes of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Its slopes are very steep. The northern side is covered with glaciers with a maximum length of 4.2 km (2.6 mi). This volcano is sufficiently difficult to climb and requires some climbing skills. If you do not have them, you can still enjoy the view of Koryaksky Volcano when you climb the neighboring Avachinsky Volcano.
